ROCHESTER — After a person was stabbed in an altercation at The Landing MN on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the day center will be closed on Thursday. Two guests at the day center were involved in altercation described as an "isolated incident," The Landing MN said in a statement. ADVERTISEMENT Emergency personnel responded to the center.
One person sustained injuries consistent with a stabbing and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The other individual was detained by authorities. “We are deeply saddened by the events that occurred today,” Alex Hurlebaus, executive director of The Landing MN, said in the statement.
“Our priority is the safety and well-being of everyone who enters our day center. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement as they investigate this matter.” No further personal details will be released at this time, according to the statement.
"The staff is conducting a thorough review of safety protocols, and the organization will provide support to guests and team members affected by the event," the statement said..
