Some of the biggest names in Hollywood graced the 2025 Met Gala red carpet in style. From bedazzled suits to gowns with massive trains, there really wasn’t a shortage of high fashion. However, fans of the event might say there was a shortage of clothing for some stars.

On Monday May 5, viewers of the annual fundraiser tuned in to see which of their favorite celebrities got invited to the highly exclusive event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Certain A-list athletes had already confirmed their attendance prior to the event, including LeBron James, Lewis Hamilton and Simone Biles — but there were a few surprise arrivals and absence. This years’ gala paid homage to the exhibition "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" from the New York museum.

The theme centered around "Tailored for You," which is a reference to not only menswear, but celebrated the history of Black fashion. Some stars of the night honored the dress code by wearing different variations of a suit.
