A couple years ago Dorian Singer was named a Second team All-Pac-12 performer. Now he's getting his shot at the pros in Raiders rookie minicamp.

NFL teams don't divulge the names of those who are in attendance at rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. But each year, along with the undrafted free agents they signed, there are a handful of hopefuls looking to earn the right to take someone's roster spot. One such tryout for the Raiders during their minicamp is former Utah WR Dorian Singer.

Former Utah WR Dorian Singer has accepted an invite to the #Raiders rookie minicamp, per sources. The NCAA denied Singer an extra year of eligibility just a day before the Big-12 Pro Day. I’m told Singer, a former All-Pac-12 performer, ran a 4.

His 1106 yards led the conference that season. Following the season, he transferred to USC, no doubt hoping the upgrade to a more respected school would raise his star among NFL talent evaluators.

Instead, his production cratered. He has just 24 catches for 289 yards, which was below his freshman year numbers. And it led to him transferring again in the conference, this time to Utah.

His numbers came back up some -- catching 53 passes for 702 yards and one touchdown, but not near what he had his sophomore season at Arizona. Meanwhile, Tetairoa McMillan was enjoying consecutive seasons over 1300 yards for the Wildcats and was taken ninth overall in the draft by the Panthers.Singer applied for another season of eligibility, but was denied by the NCAA, forcing him to try for the pros.

He was deemed the 111th wide receiver prospect by Dane Brugler and wasn't even made a priority free agent signing. This article originally appeared on Raiders Wire: Raiders invite former All Pac-12 wideout to rookie minicamp.
