Last night, three men were seriously injured in a stabbing on the Prinsengracht in Amsterdam during King’s Night celebrations, police confirmed early Saturday. A group of approximately fifteen young suspects fled the scene, prompting an ongoing police search that includes the use of a police helicopter, The incident was reported around 3:20 a.m.
, when police received a call about a fight that had escalated into a stabbing on the Prinsengracht. Officers arriving at the scene found three victims and administered first aid until ambulances arrived. The injured, identified as men aged 17, 25, and 33, were transported to a hospital for further treatment, authorities said.
According to police, the suspects are a group of boys estimated to be 17 or 18 years old. After the stabbing, the group fled over the Prinsengracht, moving from the Rozengracht toward the Elandsgracht. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward and asked anyone with security camera footage, video doorbell recordings, or dashcam material from the area to contact investigators.
As of Saturday morning, no arrests have been made. The stabbing occurred during King’s Night, a national celebration held on the eve of King’s Day. In Amsterdam, crowds packed areas such as the Jordaan and the Homomonument for live performances, according to local media outlet.
