Tommy Fury hasn’t fought since his 2023 win over YouTuber KSI, but has recently announced his return will take place next month in Hungary. Tommy ‘TNT’ Fury , brother of Tyson Fury , has been fairly quiet the last couple years. His last fight came in 2023 when he defeated KSI , and he was scheduled to fight Darren Till this year, though withdrew after Till threatened to switch to MMA rules.

Fury has said before that he still has aims to succeed in boxing, but with the caliber of some of his opponents, that ambition may seem hard to believe. Tommy Fury’s opponents have a combined record of 31-176-5 Fury was heavily criticized for taking fights with KSI and Jake Paul , even though they were for career-high paydays. What he is rarely criticized for is the low-caliber of any of his other opponents.

It’s normal for fighters to be built up against journeymen and to gradually increase opposition, but out of his ten fights, Fury has faced just six men with a single win to their name, including KSI and Paul. His debut came against 10-102-3 Jevgenijs Andrejevs, who Fury beat on points. He then fought four opponents with a combined record of 2-72-2.

Just one of those four boxers had a single win to their name, and that was 2-26 Przemyslaw Binienda. One of those was Genadij Krajevskij, who tragically passed away recently. It was in his sixth fight that Fury faced his first opponent with a winning record, 2-0 Jordan Grant.

Fury again won on points. Grant has gone on to go 6-4 in his career. Fury then fought yet another winless fighter, Anthony Taylor, whose pro record was 0-1 at the time of their fight.

It was only after this fight that Fury faced 10-1 Daniel Bocianski, an opponent with a more respectable record. Fury’s next two fights came against KSI and Paul, who had records of 6-0 and 1-0 respectively. In terms boxing records, Paul, who Butterbean called out , is the second-best fighter Fury has ever faced, and the only undefeated fighter he’s faced with more than 2 wins.

Initially Fury postponed the Paul fight after Tyson Fury broke his ribs . Tommy Fury announces return to the ring in Budapest, Hungary Fury recently took to social media to confirm his return to the ring will take place in Hungary next month: Two years out. One surgery.

The hardest battle I’ve faced has been the mental battle of being away from boxing. But I’m back stronger, sharper, and more HUNGARY than ever. May 9th, Budapest.

.. it’s showtime.
