Touro announces leadership changes

VALLEJO – Newman J. Hoffman has been appointed chief executive officer and vice president and Dr. Tami Hendriksz has been appointed as campus provost and chief academic officer at Touro University California in Vallejo.

VALLEJO – Newman J. Hoffman has been appointed chief executive officer and vice president and Dr. Tami Hendriksz has been appointed as campus provost and chief academic officer at Touro University California in Vallejo.

Hendriksz, who has been at Touro for more than two decades, will continue her role as Dean and Chief Academic Officer of the College of Osteopathic Medicine. "A proud alumna of TUC's College of Osteopathic Medicine, respected educator, and administrator, (Hendriksz) has been instrumental in advancing academic excellence, accreditation, faculty development, and interprofessional education," Dr. Alan Kadish, president of Touro University, said in a statement.



"It is with a sense of pride that Touro promotes 'one of our own' to this significant leadership position." Kadish added, about Hoffman, "his leadership has guided key projects, including developing and managing the annual operating budget, overseeing major campus renovations and capital projects, and strengthening university operations to support TUC's long-term vision." The leadership announcement was made Tuesday.

The university, with 1,400 students, has professional programs in osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, public health, nursing, diagnostic medical sonography and education. To learn more, visit www.tu.
