Stupidity! No I'm only joking! (Image: NQ) When did you take over the pub? Around 10 years ago, I have really enjoyed my team here A customer shouted up: "She's like the mother hen of the pub; the best bar worker in Bolton! "She is an expert at serving customers and that's why people keep returning." What's the draft line-up? Yes, we've got a dartboard and two darts teams, along with a dominoes team and a card team.
What about any events? Yes, we had a Northern Soul afternoon on St George's Day, on Sunday this week (April 27) we have Conor Shaw, who is an Ed Sheeran tribute act, we've got traditional music on VE Day (May 8), and on Sunday, May 25, we have a pianist and vocalist called Martin Taylor. What do some of the regulars think? "I've been coming here for 40 years, it's very rare for a town centre pub in the fact that it has built up a community feeling," one said. Another added: "It serves the best pint of Guinness in the borough.
" "I come here all the way from Horwich, I travel five miles past loads of pubs just to drink here! The banter is superb.".
