Vadodara: A transwoman filed an application of complaint against her partner at the city police commissioner's office on Tuesday. The complainant stated that she was in a live-in relationship with a man, and they had lived together for nearly one and a half years before he suddenly left her. "I was male but underwent sex-change surgery just for my partner.
We were living together and he promised to marry me. I took a loan to fund the surgery and am still paying EMIs for it. My partner cheated me and left suddenly," the complainant said.
She said she filed an application of complaint at Raopura police station 15 days ago. "My partner has also been threatening me, and I want the police to take action against him. I was so anguished I even tried to commit suicide some days ago," she added.
