Reading is one of my main hobbies. Thankfully the world is full of books, so there is always something new to read! The easy access to many wonderful books can also give me problems too. I actually limit myself from reading in different seasons of busyness because once I start a book I have a hard time putting it down in the evenings to go to sleep.

If you’ve never read the accounts given in the gospels after Jesus’ resurrection, I encourage you to do so in these weeks after Easter! The Bible tells us that Jesus was on Earth 40 days before he ascended to Heaven. 40 days with many encounters to prepare the disciples to go and preach the gospel to the world. The disciples not only touched Jesus' resurrected body, but got to sit on a beach and eat with him! Jesus! Who was dead, but then came back to life.

Jesus lived, ate, and taught in those 40 days. My favorite account of Jesus’ final days on Earth to read is in John. John finishes his book saying, Jesus did many other things as well.

If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. John 21:25 The whole world would not have room for the books that would be written! When I read these words I think of all we don’t even know about Jesus. About who He was, and how He lived.

We don’t know the story still being written today, even in our own lives. My invitation to you today is to think about your own story with Jesus, your own relationship with him. If it's not where you’d like it to be, remember these words of John that remind us that there is so much more to Jesus than we can even comprehend!.
