Two people have been taken to hospital after an incident at a marina. Emergency services responded to reports of two people in the water outside the lock by Chichester Marina on April 26 at 7.49pm.
Both Hayling Lifeboats, Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 175, Sussex Police, Ambulance Service and Hayling Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked alongside the Selsey Coast Guard Rescue Team. Hayling Lifeboat pulled one person out of the water and recovered the other who managed to get back into their vessel. READ MORE: Car crashes into dog food shop 'for the third time' The helicopter then reportedly landed and the Coastguard Paramedics and Ambulance Service treated the two people who were suffering from hypothermia.
The coast guard has confirmed that both people were transferred to ambulances and taken to hospital. A spokesman said: "Thank you to Chichester Marina and the duty lock keeper for his quick thinking and allowing us to use their facilities for the casualties.
