Ty Lue had a lot of praise for one of his Clippers players who put in a strong shift on both ends, with Jamal Murray even calling him the difference maker in Game 3. The LA Clippers just got their first home playoff win at their new home, the Intuit Dome. They dominated the Denver Nuggets to take a 2-1 lead.

It was a brilliant environment in the arena, as Clippers fans showed out for their side. Perhaps David Adelman claiming the Clippers pump in noise in the arena motivated them to be louder than ever. It was a battle of stars, as Kawhi Leonard and Nikola Jokic scored 21 and 23 points, respectively.

Chris Broussard’s point about Leonard and Jokic’s impact is turning out to be true . But there was one peripheral Clippers star who impressed Ty Lue, and even opposing players couldn’t help but sing his praises. Ty Lue lauds Nicolas Batum Speaking after the Clippers’ win, head coach Tyronn Lue had a lot of kind words for Nicolas Batum.

The French forward scored 12 points in the big win. Lue noted that Batum has some decent playoff experience, but still doesn’t overstep his bounds. More than anything, he complimented Batum for being such a strong presence on the court.

“[Nicolas Batum has] been in big games. He understands his role, and he’s a star in his role. “He’s an unbelievable connector, and everybody loves playing with him.

” Batum delivered 12 points and five assists on the offensive end. And on the defensive end, he came up with three massive blocks to help protect the Clippers’ lead. Murray calls Batum Clippers X-Factor Jamal Murray also spoke after the Clippers’ win.

When talking about the team that defeated the Nuggets, Murray had a lot of praise for Batum, and was shocked at how well he is playing after learning his age. “They’ve all been pretty good..

. Batum is crazy. I don’t know how old he is, but he is shooting no-dip threes and pacing really well on a full-court press.

” “How old is he? 36? Damn! I just think with his activity and IQ, he’s been doing a really good job. He’s been the X-Factor for them, in my opinion.” Jamal Murray thinks Nic Batum is the X factor for the clippers.

Cant believe his age either. “Damn!” pic.twitter.

com/F5U0EA1QgR Batum has been on the Clippers since the 2020-21 NBA season, and has even been to a Western Conference Finals with the side. His experience level, especially when it comes to playoff basketball, allows him to play an Al Horford-esque role on the Clippers.
