Tyson Fury lost his undisputed heavyweight title clash against Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia as the Brit was defeated for the first time in his career.

Despite his historic l oss to Oleksandr Usyk in the undisputed heavyweight title bout , Tyson Fury took home a whopping $57 million more than the fight's victor . The British boxer suffered his first professional defeat via a split points decision, with judges scoring the fight 115-112, 113-114, 114-113. The match, which saw the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO belts up for grabs in Saudi Arabia, left Fury on the ropes in Round 9 after Usyk unleashed a series of jabs that caught him off guard.

Despite this setback, the towering fighter managed to rally and go the distance, although Usyk largely dominated the proceedings from that point onwards. Until then, the contest had been evenly matched, with Fury weathering an early onslaught from his opponent to bring some balance to the fight. However, the final five rounds saw Usyk gain a foothold, leaving 'The Gypsy King' reeling after being saved by the bell following the barrage in Round 9.



Even though Usyk walked away victorious, Fury will still pocket a significantly larger fee for his participation due to the purse split agreed upon before the fight . In fact, Fury will bank around $101 million, while Usyk will take home a lesser sum of $44 million, despite becoming the first unified world champion in the weight division since Lennox Lewis in 2000.
