Britons are currently enjoying balmy Spring temperatures across the country, but temperatures look set to plunge in days. London is expected to see a high of 29C tomorrow (Thursday), and a low of 15C, according to the Met Office website . Though by Sunday the mercury looks set to drop to a maximum of 15C and as low as 6C, with a 23C drop between the highest and lowest temperatures over this period.
Meanwhile, Manchester is anticipated to see a high of 26C, and a low of 11C, but just 72 hours later it's only expected to climb as high as 14C, with a low of 5C. Edinburgh is forecast to be slightly cooler tomorrow, dropping from a 17C high on Thursday (with a low of 6C) to a top temperature of just 11C in the Scottish capital on Sunday, (with a low of 5C). A similar pattern in seen in Wales, with Cardiff enjoying a 26C high tomorrow (and a low of 12C), before the top temperature drops to 16C come Sunday, with a low of 6C, according to the national weather agency .
Meanwhile, Belfast is set to see a 16C high (with a low of 6C), decreasing slightly to 13C and 4C, respectively. Forecast data collected by WXCHARTS.COM shows large parts of the UK enjoying temperatures above 20C by noon, but by Sunday, maps show maximum temps languishing in the low teens.
The Met Office 's forecast for today anticipates: "a very warm day for much of the UK, with lots of sunshine", though there are expected to be a few "showers developing across Northern Ireland and Scotland later in the day, where there will be cloud at times". Tonight is expected to see sunshine in the late evening "then dry overnight with largely clear skies". It adds that there is a small chance of mist patches around dawn, with cloud and isolated showers across Scotland and Northern Ireland, adding that it will be cool under clear skies.
Meanwhile, Thursday is expected to be "very warm and sunny" in the south and southeast. However, the Met Office warns there is an "increased risk of some heavy showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon" and it will feel cooler from the north. The government agency 's three-to-five day forecast, which covers Friday to Sunday, predicts some "isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms" the day after tomorrow, though it's expected to be "otherwise dry and bright for most with sunny spells".
