North Carolina had several players hoping to hear their name called over the three days, seven rounds, and 250 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Only superstar running back Omarion Hampton left as the lone draft pick for the Tar Heels. He was the No.
22 overal pick to the Los Angeles Chargers.All other UNC football players who entered their names into the NFL Draft will head into their professional careers as undrafted free agents (UDFA), hoping to find a chance with a professional team.Here is an up-to-date list of where North Carolina's undrafted free agents have landed.
Power Echols, LB, Chicago BearsPower Echols spent four seasons with the Tar Heels, securing and dominating the middle of the field. He had 100+ tackles in two of the four seasons and finished 2024 with six passes deflected (collegiate career high) and 0.5 sacks.

Either way, the star cornerback will make his way to Houston as a UFDA. He finished his UNC career in 2024 with a season of 40 tackles, two sacks, eight passes deflected, and one interception. He will join a team with starting cornerbacks Derrick Stingley Jr and Christian Harris.

The Minnesota Vikings will get a talented tight end who will work for them. The depth behind TJ Hockenson is not great, so Nesbit should have a good shot at making the 53-man roster.

However, for whatever reason, Lampkin's stock fell, and he went undrafted. The UNC All-American is a dominant force on the front line, despite being undersized.
