MDT, White Butte Trailhead in Slope County, North Dakota. Badlands Conservation Alliance is hosting the easy to moderately difficult hike, which will last about 90 minutes. Hiking shoes or boots are required, and hikers must bring their own food, water, sunscreen, first aid supplies and other gear.

m., 1,300-acre addition to the Carp Swamp Wildlife Management Area, 10 miles south of Baudette, Minnesota, on state Highway 72. Acquisition in Lake of the Woods County adds 1,300 acres to the Carp Swamp WMA, which is part of an existing 14,000-acre complex.

Five-day overnight camp centers on the ecology of ducks and other water birds that make their homes in North Dakota. Camp fee is $500, but scholarships and sponsor support are available. Application deadline is March 15, 2025.
