BELOIT — Valmet Corp., the city’s last remaining business tie to Beloit Corp., bought its service center building and property from Hendricks Holding Co.
for $9.2 million. Valmet has been a part of the Beloit business community since 2000 when the company, which was then a division of Metso Corp.
, acquired the aftermarket assets of Beloit Corp. The Beloit Service Center at 1280 Willowbrook Road was built in 2001, according to public records. Valmet actually will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in Beloit with a party on May 8.
