Vantive, a healthcare company formerly part of Baxter International, has decided to firmly plant its roots in Illinois, investing $23 million to establish a new U.S. headquarters in Deerfield.
According to a press release from the State of Illinois, the move by Vantive is set to create at least 50 new full-time jobs and aims to amp up the state's profile as a beacon for health innovation and vital organ therapy.Cracking open a fresh chapter for the company, Governor JB Pritzker praised Vantive's commitment. He said, "Illinois is at the center of an innovation ecosystem that will deliver history-altering advancements to the world, and Vantive is a perfect example of that mission," as stated by the State of Illinois.
The governor's comments reflect an expectation that this investment will to certainly accelerate interest and potential in the region.With Vantive's new headquarters providing expanded office facilities and pharmacy operations, CEO Chris Toth envisions a space that fuels creativity and collaboration. "Illinois offers a strong healthcare ecosystem, a highly skilled workforce, and a supportive business environment - all of which provide an ideal foundation for Vantive's next phase of success," Toth revealed in a statement obtained by the Illinois government website.
Local government officials, like Assistant Majority Leader Bob Morgan and Majority Caucus Whip Julie Morrison, both of Deerfield, lauded the investment, noting its potential to bring good-paying jobs and bolster Illinois' position in the healthcare industry. Deerfield Mayor Daniel C. Shapiro also expressed his gratitude, looking forward to Vantive's advancements in organ support and growth within the community.
Finally, Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart underscored the significance of the investment for the broader region. "Thanks to Governor Pritzker's and DCEO's tireless efforts to promote and support Illinois' economic development, Vantive has chosen Deerfield for their U.S.
headquarters, further solidifying Lake County's position as the number one life sciences hub in the Midwest," Hart commented in the release..
