Excelsior Sports CorrespondentRAJOURI, Apr 21: Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, inaugurated Sports Week 2025 at University Campus, here today.Prof.
Jawaid Iqbal stressed the significance of sports in fostering holistic development, encouraging participants to uphold sportsmanship, discipline and team spirit. Prof. M J Warsi, Dean of Academic Affairs, also lauded the initiative, highlighting its role in promoting physical well-being and unity among students.
The event began with a welcoming address by Dr. Rakesh Singh Sambyal, Incharge of the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education. The week’s sports offerings include Tug of War, Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi, Shot Put, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Javelin Throw, Long Jump and High Jump.
