Excelsior Sports CorrespondentJAMMU, Apr 21: The 3rd edition of the Vice Chancellor’s Badminton Tournament 2025 was inaugurated by Prof. B. N.
Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, at the Indoor Sports Complex, Main Campus Chatha, SKUAST-Jammu. Prof. Tripathi appreciated the enthusiastic participation and highlighted the importance of sports in promoting overall well-being.
He praised Dr. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dean Students Welfare, for organizing the event and fostering a spirit of fitness and camaraderie.Around 50–60 students and staff are participating in Men’s Singles and Doubles, Women’s Singles and Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
Prof. Tripathi also played an exhibition match and visited the gymnasium to review fitness activities.Dignitaries present included Dr.
Sushil K Gupta, Dr. Anil Kumar (Registrar & Dean, Faculty of Agriculture), Dr. Rajinder Peshin, Dr.
Vikas Tandon, Dr. Sanjay Guleria, Madan Lal, Dr. R.
K. Salgotra, Dr. Anil Gupta, Dr.
