Excelsior CorrespondentRAJOURI, Apr 19: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta today inaugurated the new BJP office at Thannamandi Mandal in Rajouri district.Addressing a large gathering of party workers and local people, Gupta expressed gratitude to the people of Rajouri-Poonch for their unflinching support to BJP last year elections.“Although the BJP could not secure majority of seats in Rajouri-Poonch, there was record-breaking voting in favour of BJP candidates in the elections in every constituency, indicating the party’s growing foothold in the twin border districts.
The party acknowledges this support and will focus more on expanding its base in these areas’, asserted Vibodh.Gupta lauded the commitment and discipline of BJP workers in strengthening the party at the grassroots level. “The dedication of our Karyakartas in border and Tribal areas reflects the true spirit of the BJP.
It is their hard work that brings Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision to life on the ground,” he added.Highlighting PM Modi’s special focus on the development of Jammu & Kashmir, especially border and Tribal belts, Gupta said that Modi’s vision for Jammu & Kashmir is transformative.“For decades, the Tribal and border areas remained neglected.
Today, under Modi’s leadership, these regions are being prioritized through historic welfare measures-be it political reservation for Gujjar and Bakerwal communities, ST status for the Pahari Tribe, the removal of the inter-district recruitment ban, or the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential Schools. From road connectivity to digital empowerment and education initiatives, the Government is ensuring that the last person in the last village feels the warmth of development,” Vibodh maintained.Manzar Ali Shah, Mandal Pradhan Thannamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir, Administrator Waqf and DDC Thannamandi, Raja Rattan Singh, district vice president BJP Rajouri, Yogesh Sharma, senior BJP leader, Abdul Ghani Shawal, district vice president BJP Rajouri and others addressed the meeting.
