It was all love inside Halas Hall when the Bears made the call to tight end Colston Loveland.

After months of constant debate, endless mock drafts, and speculation from everyone under the sun, the Chicago Bears finally made their selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Bears stood pat at No. 10 overall and selected tight end Colston Loveland out of Michigan, giving head coach Ben Johnson a new playmaker to work with on offense.

Inside Halas Hall, the Bears got to work when they were on the clock and made the call that changed Loveland's life. "Ready to be a Chicago Bear?" Poles asked the tight end. "Let's go, coach! Let's go," Loveland said as he accidentally got Poles mixed up with Johnson while cheering began to take place.

He probably won't forget his first official conversation with his new head coach, though. "We cooking with hot grease now, man!" Johnson excitedly said as he bounced back and forth in his chair. "Smart, tough, explosive.

I know exactly what we're getting, man!" Johnson took notice of what was happening as well, as this was his first-ever pick as a head coach. "This is the first pick as a head coach, man. You're exactly what we're looking for.

It's beautiful." Poles and Johnson were fired up to take Loveland, who should become a valuable weapon in the passing game for quarterback Caleb Williams. If he's able to reach his potential, Johnson really will be cooking with grease because this Bears offense could be explosive in a hurry.
