The high scoring match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Saturday brought out a wave of emotions from Shreyas Iyer, PBKS captain. Iyer was thrilled after his brilliant batting performance as he scored 82 off 36 deliveries, helping PBKS to reach a mammoth socre of 245, but later he showed frustration towards the umpire. Ultimately, the night ended in disappointment for PBKS as SRH secured a convincing victory by eight wickets.

In the fifth over of SRH chase of 246 runs at their home ground, Glenn Maxwell was disaoppinted with umpires decision to give a wide on the second ball as it was a flatter delivery down the leg side, and while Maxwell was certain that Head had edged it, the umpire ruled it as a wide. The Australian all-rounder instantly signaled for a DRS review with the ‘T’ gesture.In case of the DRS call the on-field umpire should ask theteam captain before proceeding, but the umpire ignored PBKS skipper iyer and wnet for the DRS after Maxwell’s call, which left Shreyas upset.

It was the third highest individual score IPL history after Chris Gayle’s 175 for Royal Challeners Bengaluru in 2013 and Brendon McCullum’s 158 for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008.
