Waterloo man charged with assault after alleged fight, police say

A man from Waterloo was arrested after Waterloo Regional Police said a person was assaulted in a fight Sunday. Police were called to the area of Milford Avenue and Weber Street North for a reported disturbance at around 5:35 p.m.

After an initial investigation, police learned one person was assaulted after a verbal fight. The victim was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Waterloo.



He was charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and assault causing bodily harm through strangulation. He was held in police custody for a bail hearing..
