HOUSTON — We’re watching for the chance of strong storms on Wednesday, which is why the KHOU 11 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert. In addition to downpours, we could see gusty winds. The time frame of the Weather Impact Alert is from 11 a.

m. to 6 p.m.



as storm chances jump to 70%. There could be some strong gusts of wind to 40 mph in some of the heavier downpours, but the major threat will be to commuters on area roadways. Watch for high water spots, especially on those exit and entrance ramps to freeways.

Areas most likely to see the heaviest rain will be those neighborhoods along and north of I-10. Make sure you have the KHOU 11 app with alerts turned on. We’ll let you know if severe weather threatens.
