Some Westpac customers are venting their frustrations online after issues with the bank's online services on Thursday. The bank said, due to a technical issue, its digital banking was unavailable for a time. Card services and ATMS were unaffected and scheduled payments were working as normal, it said.
The contact centre was experiencing significant queues. Customers responded to a social media post saying they were annoyed that it was happening. "When are you going to start giving money back to customers for being so inconvenient? Less than six weeks ago your app was down," one said.
"I can't do my groceries because I can't transfer my money," another posted. The problem has been resolved..
