Cassian is back to fight the Empire once again, so we’re breaking down exactly when Andor Season 2 drops on Disney Plus , alongside the full release schedule. Rogue One was the second Star Wars movie launched under the Disney umbrella, and it become a surprise hit – and not just because of that Darth Vader scene. It was dark, mature, and explored the cost of war in a way no other Star Wars story had.

Like the first season, it comprises four mini-arcs, each covering a different part of Cassian’s journey to become the rebel we know from Rogue One. Picking up a year on from Season 1, the second chapter takes place over four years , with each three-episode-batch covering one year.
This is going to take us right up to Rogue One, with the final batch taking Cassian to the Ring of Kafrene where we meet him in the movie. While Tony Gilroy oversees the season as a whole, each batch of episodes will have a different writer and director. Tony Gilroy wrote Episodes 1-3, Beau Willimon penned Episodes 4-6, Dan Gilroy did the same for Episodes 7-9, and Tom Bissel wrote the last three.
