Everything new to stream this weekend on all your favorite streaming services from Netflix to Apple TV to Hulu and more.

What to watch this weekend. 2025 isn’t slowing down when it comes to new movies and TV shows streaming on all the myriad streaming platforms we subscribe to these days. It seems like every week, just when one show ends, I’m adding three or four new ones to this guide.

It’s a good problem to have, being spoiled for choice. Each week I rummage through the internet, looking for all the best new content on Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Apple TV and all the rest, and gather it all here in this friendly neighborhood streaming guide for your enjoyment. This week’s offerings include serial killers, space rebellions, quirky detectives and much more.

If you have any tips or I missed something, shoot me a message on Twitter , Instagram , or Facebook . You can check out last weekend’s streaming guide right here. The first three episodes of Andor’s second season dropped earlier this week, and proved to be somewhat divisive, though that’s no surprise with the current state of Star Wars fandom.

A whole cottage industry has sprouted up that exists pretty much solely to crap on anything in the Disney Star Wars era. There’s reason for that: A lot of new Star Wars has been pretty bad. But it’s silly to write it all off, especially when it comes to Andor which is not just great Star Wars, it’s just great TV.

You can read my spoiler-free Season 2 review here , or check out my recap/review of the first three episodes here . It’s genuinely fantastic and it just gets better all season. Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) returns for the fifth and final season of the serial-killer / stalker series You on Netflix.

Unfortunately for fans, the final season seems to be a bit hit-or-miss, garnering the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score of the show’s run . All episodes are now available on Netflix. I only just recently binged the first season of Australian cold-case mystery Black Snow on AMC+.

It was excellent, thanks in no small part to a great performance by Travis Fimmel, who plays detective James Cormack. I’ve watched the first two episodes of Season 2 and so far it’s just as compelling, spinning a brand new mystery about another missing girl, Zoe (Jana McKinnon) who disappeared in 2003. Definitely give this one a watch.

I’m not really into ballet, but Prime Video’s new ballet drama Étoile looks excellent. The premise is simple: As two ballet companies in Paris and New York City struggle to fill seats, they come up with a novel plan: Trade their top dancers for a year to spice things up. Drama, comedy and lots of dancing, ensues.

Apple’s animated sci-fi fantasy TV series WondLa returns for a second season. The series follows Eva (Jeanine Mason) stranded on the alien planet Orbona after an attack on Earth disrupts her 16th birthday. She and her alien companions embark on an adventure to find any fellow humans who might have survived the attack.

The big new Netflix action movie out this weekend, Havoc stars Tom Hardy as Walker, a detective who sets out into a dangerous criminal underworld to save a politician’s son. The movie has quite the cast, including Forest Whitaker, Timothy Olyphant, Jessie Mei Li and more. With a 70% Rotten Tomatoes score, this might not be a new action masterpiece, but it looks like a fun popcorn movie with plenty of action.

The plot of Bullet Train Explosion sounds a lot like the movie Speed, in which Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock had to keep a bus filled with civilians traveling at over 50mph to prevent a bomb from detonating. That was a fun, if preposterous movie, but it was actually based on the 1975 Japanese thriller Bullet Train. So in some sense, we’ve come full circle 50 years later.

In Bullet Train Explosion, a train has to maintain 100kmh speed to prevent a detonation, and much chaos and tension follows. I should have included this limited series in my guide last week but it slipped under my radar, so I’m including it now. With a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, this is one of the best-reviewed series of the year.

It follows army surgeon Dorrigo Evans (Jacob Elordi) during his imprisonment in a Thai-Burmese prison camp in WWII, where he’s haunted by memories of his illicit affair with this uncle’s wife. Returning to theaters for its 20th anniversary, The Revenge Of The Sith reminds us that George Lucas almost made a good prequel Star Wars trilogy. If only the first two films had been as good as this one.

I’m still debating whether I should go to this in theaters or just watch it at home. It won’t be in theaters long, however, so if you want to return to the heady days of Emperor Palpatine’s rise to power and the fall of the Jedi Order, get tickets soon. The Last Of Us is off to a controversial start for Season 2.

HBO’s adaptation of the Naughty Dog games was quite good in Season 1, but Season 2’s premiere was pretty rough. The second episode, however, was excellent, with a battle worthy of Game Of Thrones. It also included perhaps the most divisive moment in the series, which I won’t spoil.

Here’s my review of the premiere and my review of the shocking second episode . The Studio continues to be a genuinely hilarious comedy of errors. Seth Rogen has never been better.

Anyone with a love of movies and the movie business should give this series a shot. I will say, the last two episodes have been a bit weaker than the first three, but it’s still great fun. Rogen plays Continental Studios boss Matt Remmick, who manages to always make every situation worse despite his good intentions.

I’m still behind on Dope Thief, but it’s actually quite good. The story of two men who rob drug dealers while disguised (poorly) as DEA agents takes a turn for the worse when they rob the wrong people and suddenly find themselves hunted, and all their loved ones put at risk. Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura are both excellent here.

I still need to watch the latest episode of Your Friends & Neighbors, but this is at the top of my list for dark comedies. Jon Hamm plays Andrew “Coop” Cooper, a financier who lost his marriage and his job and has now turned to petty burglary, ripping off his rich friends and neighbors to make ends meet. It’s smart, funny and slick, and Hamm is at his very best.

MobLand is a big hit on Paramount+ and for good reason. The series is about rival London gangs and follows fixer Harry (Tom Hardy) as he tries to navigate the criminal underworld for his boss, Conrad Harrigan (Pierce Brosnan). A great cast helps elevate the show, with Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine and more putting in terrific performances.

I remain solidly undecided when it comes to returning to The Handmaid’s Tale, the dystopian near-future series based on the book by Margaret Atwood. I gave up after Season 4, but a part of me wants to know what happens, even if I found the show altogether too bleak and rambling by the end of that season. Other shows that I’m not following or caught up on but keep meaning to watch: Law & Order Organized Crime on Peacock Godfather Of Harlem on MGM+ Happy Face on Paramount+ The Righteous Gemstones on HBO Dark Winds on AMC Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ Doctor Who on Disney+ April 18th Streaming Guide : April 11th Streaming Guide : April 4th Streaming Guide : What else did I miss?
