Shannon Sharpe has already been facing a $50 million lawsuit, and now things appear to be getting even more serious for the NFL legend, as a new report suggests that he was previously involved in another sexual assault case. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, A woman suing former NFL star Shannon Sharpe for defamation has accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2010. Michele Evans, who is representing herself in the lawsuit filed in New York in 2023, claims she was in a decade-long relationship with Sharpe that ended in 2010 after an argument over his alleged infidelity.

In her complaint, Evans alleges that Sharpe demanded sex, which she refused, before he forcibly assaulted her. “The Defendant proceeded to forcefully subdue me, compelling me to my knees and subsequently engaging in non-consensual oral penetration,” the complaint states. “Despite my protests, he persisted in this violation.

” Evans further claims the assault escalated, alleging that Sharpe pushed her onto a bed and committed non-consensual vaginal penetration while declaring his intent to “make it so no other man would want me.” Though Evans is not suing Sharpe for sexual assault, she alleges he later threatened to ruin her reputation, leading to defamatory media coverage that damaged her professional standing. A representative for Sharpe denied Evans’ allegations in a statement to Page Six, calling them “ridiculous and completely without merit.

” Sharpe’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, provided PEOPLE with a lengthy statement on April 25, dismissing Evans’ claims as an opportunistic attempt to profit from Sharpe’s fame. “When she could not find a lawyer to pursue her outrageous story, she filed a civil complaint on her own that is completely devoid of merit,” Schuster wrote. “The fact is that Shannon has had no contact with this person for many years.

” The statement emphasized that Sharpe plans to fight the allegations with documented evidence, calling them malicious lies. Ongoing Legal Proceedings Evans’ civil case is still pending, though a judge previously denied her request for a protective order. The lawsuit comes just weeks after another woman, identified as Jane Doe, filed a separate lawsuit in Nevada accusing Sharpe of rape.

Sharpe has vehemently denied those allegations as well, calling them a “shakedown” and maintaining that their relationship was consensual. In response to the Nevada lawsuit, Sharpe announced he was temporarily stepping away from his role at ESPN but plans to return for the 2025 NFL season. “My statement is found here and this is the truth,” Sharpe said in a prior statement.

“The relationship in question was 100% consensual.” Sharpe’s legal team has vowed to aggressively challenge both lawsuits, asserting his innocence. Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from US Buzz, World and around the world.
