Chase Camac chipped in with two hits, two RBIs and three runs for the winning Mustangs. Finn Haines struck out nine in five innings for the win.

Mainland, the No. 15 seed, advances to the second round 4 p.m.



Saturday at Overbrook against the winner of Thursday’s first-round game between Northern Burlington and West Deptford. JJ Watkins was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a triple for Cedar Creek. The 32-team, single-elimination Classic is one of the highlights of the South Jersey high school baseball season.

The tournament is named after Hartmann, a former coach and athletic director, who was a fixture on the high school baseball scene.
