The turnover in Romania's wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles, decreased by 4% in the first two months of 2025 year-on-year, seasonally adjusted, according to data published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS). Thus, between January 1 and February 28, 2025, decreases were recorded in wholesale of agricultural raw materials and live animals (-32.9%), other specialised wholesale (-9.

7%), wholesale of other machinery, equipment and supplies (-1.0%) and wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco (-0.6%).



On the other hand, there were increases in wholesale of information and communication equipment (+11.6%), wholesale of consumer goods other than food (+5.9%), non-specialised wholesale (+5.

3%) and wholesale intermediation (+0.2%). The February 2025 turnover in the wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles, was down 1.

8% on a monthly basis, seasonally adjusted. Year-on-year it was down 4.8% overall.
