Why 5 'A Simple Favor' Actors Didn't Return for Sequel, Plus 9 Cast Members Who Returned & 6 Stars Added

The new movie Another Simple Favor is about to be released and we’re looking into all of the cast members who didn’t return for the sequel.While nine actors from 2018′s A Simple Favor did return for the 2025 sequel, there are several stars who aren’t included in the new film.One actor was replaced by another beloved star to keep the character in the movie while the other four characters seemingly were not written into the sequel.

Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are back as Stephanie and Emily. In the sequel, Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson reunite on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.
