January 25, 1953 - April 10, 2025 William Earl Gunn (Bill), 72, died on April 10th at the Levine & Dickson Hospice Home in Charlotte. After a valiant fight with MS that ravaged his body, Bill was ready to meet the Lord. His last few days were ones of preparing for Heaven as those who loved him shared what awaited him.
Bill grew up in WinstonSalem, graduating from Parkland High School in 1971. He continued his education at Davidson Community College and Midland Technical College in West Columbia, SC. Much of his career was spent in sales.
Bill's parents, Earl and Wilma Gunn, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Barbara Gunn; his son, Geoffrey; his sister, Joyce Burnette (Richard) of Winston-Salem; and his nephew, Brandon Burnette of Columbia, SC. A memorial service will be held at University City United Methodist Church in Charlotte on Saturday, May 10th at 2 p.
