Wisconsin football is among a large group of programs to express interest in UConn transfer wide receiver Jasaiah Gathings, according to Nilson Sports' Michael Salvo.The Badgers are listed with Baylor, Purdue, West Virginia, Washington State, Colorado State, Western Kentucky, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Western Michigan and Kennesaw State.Gathings entered the portal earlier this month after one season at UConn.
The wide receiver previously began his career at Akron, where he broke out as a redshirt sophomore in 2023, totaling 55 catches, 575 yards and a touchdown. He previously joined the Zips as a three-star recruit in the class of 2021.The 6-foot-3 wideout was UConn's third-leading receiver in 2024, finishing with 32 catches, 307 yards and three scores.
That Huskies' wide receiver room was notably led by former Badger Skyler Bell, who has since announced his return for the 2025 season.Gathings is now in the portal with a final year of eligibility remaining.With multiple offers and a visit schedule set to be finalized soon, UConn WR Jasaiah Gathings (@GathingsJasaiah) is receiving interest from the following schools:WisconsinBaylorPurdueWest VirginiaWashington State Colorado StateWestern KentuckyBowling GreenBuffalo.

The program recently saw targets Keelan Marion and Karmello English commit to Miami and Coastal Carolina, respectively.
