One Victory Ejiviese was attacked in broad daylight at a popular Abuja restaurant, beaten nearly to death by a group of men who mistook her for her older sister, Lilian Ehis Dlight.The incident occurred just days after she arrived from the United Kingdom to visit family during the Easter holiday.Victory Ejiviese Hunder Christopher, a native of Amenokhian in Esan North East, Edo State, is a married mother of two and a postgraduate student of International Business Management at the University of Sunderland, UK.

She had returned to Nigeria on April 17th to visit her family for Easter holiday in Lagos and also to pay a visit to her elder sister, Queen Oghoadena Amiohu, whose husband had been kidnapped in early March.According to family accounts, Mr. Abraham Ebhodaghe, Queen’s husband, was abducted alongside colleagues while traveling for work along the Okene Expressway.



Suspected Fulani herdsmen ambushed their company bus, dragging them into the forest. Days later, the kidnappers contacted Queen and demanded a ransom of ¦ 50 million. Despite efforts by both families to raise funds, communication with the kidnappers abruptly ended, and Mr.

Ebhodaghe has not been heard from since.Worried about her sister, Victory decided to visit Queen in Abuja before heading back to the UK. She booked a flight for April 23rd and arrived safely.

While waiting to be picked up in Nyanya-Karshi, she stopped at Dominion Pizza for a quick meal, but instead walked into danger.According to her, a group of unidentified men were staring intensely at Victory before approaching and speaking in Hausa. When she responded in English, one of them accused her of being Lilian Ehis Dlight — her elder sister, who was accused of promoting lesbianism and gay in Kaduna due to her sermon.

“You think you can hide? We’ve been looking for you,” one of them reportedly said before launching into a violent assault. Victory tried to explain she was not who they thought she was, but they refused to listen.She was beaten relentlessly until she lost consciousness.

Restaurant staff quickly called the police. Officers from the Jikwoyi Divisional Headquarters F.C.

T command Abuja, arrived just in time, stop the attackers and rushing Victory to the hospital.According to doctors, she was lucky to survive. As of now, she is still bedridden, unable to walk, and covered in bruises.

Police investigations into both the kidnapping and the mistaken-identity assault are still ongoing.
