Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns and CM Punk in the main event to reign supreme at Wrestlemania 41. Paul Heyman betrayed Reigns and Punk to align with Rollins. This is the first time that Rollins has got a manager in WWE and it will be interesting to see how the partnership between these two goes ahead.
The storyline between them is far from over as of now. Jey Uso defeated Gunther in the opening match of the show to be crowned the World Heavyweight Champion. Jey hit Gunther with three Uso Splashes before locking him in his own finisher.
Gunther suffered his second consecutive Wrestlemania defeat and tapped out. Jey was joined by Jimmy Uso during his title celebrations. The New Day regained the tag team championships with a win over the War Raiders.
The match lasted less than 10 minutes. Contrary to expectations, Big E did not make an appearance during the show. Jacob Fatu was crowned the new United States Champion as he defeated LA Knight.
Fatu was the favourite going into the match and his win wasn't a big surprise. Jade Cargil defeated Naomi in a one-on-one match. El Grande Americano made a winning debut at Wrestlemania and defeated Rey Fenix in a one-on-one match.
Americano was originally scheduled to face Rey Mysterio, but the WWE Hall of Famer got injured on Smackdown. Tiffany Stratton made a winning debut at Wrestlemania and defeated Charlotte Flair to retain her WWE Women's Championship in the penultimate match of the show. Flair won the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble.
Following the successful end of the first night, the action will now move to the second night on Sunday. Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against John Cena in the main event. The show will open with IYO Sky defending her Women's World Championship against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair.
