Dylan Efron literally performed a heroic deed right out of a Baywatch scene. Actor Zac Efron's younger brother and reality star recently jumped into action and prevented two women from drowning at Miami's South Beach. Since then, the April 5 incident has gone viral, and beachgoers and internet users have hailed Dylan as a real-life saviour.

In a recent episode of Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast, the 33-year-old talked openly about the dramatic event and how his laid-back beach day swiftly evolved into a rescue effort. Dylan, who is well-known for his work on environmental documentaries and for winning Season 3 of The Traitors, was in Miami at the time of the incident with friends Brennan and fellow Traitors alumnus Sam Asghari. “It was really random.

I'm looking out and there are just people screaming in the water. The currents were ripping,” Dylan recalled. He noticed five girls struggling in the powerful currents, frantically waving for help.

Alarmingly, there were no lifeguards in sight. “There were two closest to us that already had a guy helping them in. There were three out further, so I swam one in and swam back for another girl,” he explained.

The final rescue left a lasting impression on him. “The last girl I swam in, I was just trying to calm her down and just saying, 'Breath, breath.' She just wraps me in the biggest hug and doesn't want to let go.

We hugged for like a full minute. I'm like, 'You're safe, you're good',” he shared. “I feel like I did what most people would have done,” he said. With a chuckle, he added, “First 10 seconds on this beach and there’s a rescue. Miami’s weird.

” On the work front, beyond reality TV, Dylan has co-created the series Down to Earth with Zac and has a growing reputation for his adventurous spirit—both on and off screen..
