, Mathew Temple, of Denham Springs, was traveling west on LA 1026 in the westbound lane when he was struck from behind by a Dodge Dart. According to State Police, Temple, who was not wearing a helmet, was immediately taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Dodge remained uninjured, and a routine toxicology sample was taken as part of an ongoing investigation.
