Favourite K-Pop Artist category in 2025 American Music Awards is dominated by some big names like BLACKPINK's Rose, ATEEZ, BTS members Jimin and RM and Stray Kids. The 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs) have officially announced this year’s nominees, with selections driven by fan engagement, including streaming numbers, album and song sales, radio play, and tour earnings. One of the most anticipated categories, Favourite K-Pop Artist, which was first introduced in 2022 and won by BTS in its debut year, is packed with powerhouse names once again.
This year’s nominees include BLACKPINK’s Rose, who has also earned a second nomination in another category, along with ATEEZ, Jimin and RM of BTS, and Stray Kids. The winners will be revealed during the live broadcast from Las Vegas on May 26. Fans can cast their votes on the AMAs website until May 15, making their voices heard in one of the most fan-driven award shows of the year.
While other Korean performers appear in the single category, apart from Favourite K-Pop Artist, Rose is also in the running for Collaboration of the Year. She earned the spot for her hit song APT, for which she joined hands with Bruno Mars. In this category, she’ll be competing against some major names including Luther by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, Miles on It by Marshmello and Kane Brown, I Had Some Help by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen, and Fortnight by Taylor Swift and Post Malone.
Kendrick Lamar is leading the 2025 American Music Awards with 10 nominations in major categories like Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for GNX, and Song of the Year for Not Like Us. His song Luther has landed him a nomination in the Collaboration of the Year category, along with Favourite Music Video for Not Like Us, Favourite Male Hip-Hop Artist, Favourite Hip-Hop Album (GNX) and three separate spots for Favourite Hip-Hop Song, Like That with Future and Metro Boomin, Not Like Us and Luther. If he wins all eight awards, he could match the record for most wins in a single year, held by legends like Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.
