22-year-old IIU student shot dead in private hostel

ISLAMABAD - A 22-year-old female student of International Islamic University was shot dead in a private hostel by an unknown assailant over the weekend, the police said on Monday. According to the FIR registered by Ramana Police Station, the incident took place on the night of April 19 at a private hostel located on Aown Muhammad Rizvi Road in Sector G-10/1 of the capital city. At midnight, an unknown person armed with a pistol jumped over the boundary wall of the hostel established in a house and remained present in the porch for over an hour before committing the crime.

The killer forcefully entered the room of the victim and fired shots at her in the presence of her three roommates. He told the eyewitnesses to stay silent when they tried to make a hue and cry out of fear. According to details, the victim first spotted the suspect in the courtyard of the hostel and sped towards her room.
