Aguariavwodo Bags Appointment As Political Adviser To Anglican Church

Senator Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo, the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, has been appointed Political Adviser to the Anglican Diocese of Ughelli and a Diocesan official in the life of the tenth synod of the Diocese. By this appointment, Senator Aguariavwodo, a devout Anglican, who served as senator from 2013 to 2015, is now a delegate to the synod of the Anglican Church. The message was conveyed in a letter, dated April 14, 2025 and signed by Revd Canon C.

U Idonor, Ph.D, Administrative Secretary of the Anglican Diocese of Ughelli, on behalf of the Bishop, who incidentally is the Archbishop of Bendel Province covering all Anglican Churches in Delta and Edo States, His Grace, the Most Revd Cyril OdiborOghene Odutemu, JP, Ph.D.



Besides this appointment, the Bishop has also given Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo another arch-episcopal appointment to coordinate all Anglican politicians in the Diocese of Ughelli towards effective and productive participation in the First session of the tenth synod of the Diocese, scheduled for Saturday April 26 to Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the All-Saints’ Chapel, DSC Township, Orhuwhorun, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State. By the latter appointment which was conveyed via another letter signed by the administrative secretary, Senator Aguariavwodo together with Hon Chief Samuel Mariere and Sir Chief Jaro Egbo have been saddled with the responsibility of ensuring the political class in the Diocese is mobilized to play a significant role in the coming synod as Chairman during the launch of the Bishop’s charge. Senator Emmanuel Edesiri Aguariavwodo was a member of the Federal House of Representatives, former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission and Chairman of the Niger Benue River Basin Development Authority.
