Get ready for a new animated film about K-pop—and demon hunting! On April 24 local time, Netflix unveiled the first glimpse of its upcoming film “KPop Demon Hunters,” which will tell the story of a K-pop trio that moonlights as demon hunters. Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo will be voicing the titular “KPop Demon Hunters,” a trio of superstars who sell out stadiums by day, but secretly “protect their fans from ever-present supernatural danger” by night as demon hunters. The film will follow their battle against their biggest threat yet: “an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise.
” In what marks his English voice acting debut, Ahn Hyo Seop will be starring in the film in the role of Jinu, with Lee Byung Hun , Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, Joel Kim Booster, Yunjin Kim, and Liza Koshy rounding out the star-studded voice cast. Meanwhile, TWICE ’s Jeongyeon , Jihyo, and Chaeyoung will be releasing an original song for the film’s soundtrack. “KPop Demon Hunters” will be released on June 20.
