There was a significant cut to the competition on the latest episode of American Idol with six singers getting sent home after performing with the Top 20. The Top 20 was determined during Sunday night’s Easter episode and America voted for their favorites during that episode. 10 of the contestants automatically advanced to the Top 14 based on Sunday night’s votes while the remaining 10 contestants performed for one of the judges four spaces.
