A report by Pinkvilla mentioned that the Akshay Kumar starrer is projected to have a strong spot booking given the film is releasing on the Good Friday weekend. Overall, the report suggests that Kesari Chapter 2 is projected to open at Rs 8 crore net on its first day. Special screenings of Kesari Chapter 2 have taken place in Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
