Auto driver held for attempting to assault student

Chennai: An auto driver was arrested on Saturday after a video of him using inappropriate language and attempting to assault a journalism student from Bangladesh went viral. The victim was going to the beach on Thursday morning. The fare for the ride was 163.

She gave the driver, Paul Pandi, 28, a 200 note. This led to an argument during which the driver used abusive language and attempted to assault her. The woman posted it on social media saying, "I came here to study, and experience a new culture.
