He appeared in a single scene where his character encountered a vampire on the basketball court.
Although Ben delivered a line in the scene, it was not his voice that made it to the final version. Ben confessed that he is still unsure why his line was re-recorded.
"I'm not sure that they meant for me to have a line so I may have been paid as like a featured extra, but I know I said a line and they recorded it," he explained. In an interview with GQ, Ben jokingly speculated, "I'd like to think that it was some union thing that they re-recorded my performance, but maybe the director was just like, 'This guy's so bad, we need someone else to say take it.'" In the Buffy the Vampire Slayer film, a vampire approaches Ben's character on the basketball court and flashes his fangs.
Ben's character responds by handing him the ball and saying, "Eurgh, take it man." A clip from Ben's interview was shared on Reddit , and fans found it hilarious. "Love this so much! It was great catching him in this movie," one person wrote.
