Image: Screengrab from YouTube/Erin Diaz After turning 18, Bimby Aquino, the youngest son of Kris Aquino , shared that he plans to take up legal management in college, even as he revealed that entering politics would be an “option” considering he comes from a family of politicians. Sitting down recently with showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz and his daughter Erin Diaz, Bimby was asked about his career plans and he said he planned to pursue law because he believes it is a “diverse” pursuit.

Ogie then asked Bimby if he was open to entering politics considering his grandmother Corazon “Cory” Aquino and his uncle Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III were former presidents. His late grandfather Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino was a known politician as well. “It’s always an option kasi sabi ni lola, my mom said, ‘everyone in the family who entered politics, it is a calling.
’ It’s not an easy job but it’s a job that can help so many people,” he explained. Bimby also noted that politics may not be “overall toxic” but it’s a place where it’s difficult to build a genuine friendship. “Alam mo naman sa politika.
Hindi naman toxic but more of you have to be careful talaga. There’s a saying diba, ‘there’s no permanent friend in politics’ where the wind blows, diba? That’s the sad truth, that’s why if you go into politics, always remember that it’s rare that you get a real friend,” he stated. Earlier this year, Kris said that Bimby might enter show biz to help pay her medical bills as she continues to battle her autoimmune diseases.
