Birmingham City are back on home soil this afternoon for their penultimate St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park fixture of the season. Crawley Town will be hoping they don’t bear the brunt of Blues’ frustrations after their defeat in the Vertu Trophy final last week. The Red Devils are currently 22nd in League One and their return to League Two could be all but confirmed with a defeat in B9.
League One champions Blues have records to play for in their final six games. Three victories would give Blues the League One points record, four would give them the EFL points record, and five would see them record the most victories in a single EFL season. They are also protecting an unbeaten home record in the league having won 18 and drawn three of their 21 matches at St Andrew’s to date.
