BREAKING: Cops run to Gordon Ramsay's mansion after 'shooting' turns out to be prank

Gordon Ramsay's lavish Los Angeles home became surrounded by cops after a dramatic prank call. The caller told officers they had heard shooting at the celebrity chef's property. The incident saw the Scottish star's stateside home surrounded by police on Tuesday.

A call allegedly was made at 8.40pm local time to cops to say a gunman had opened fire at the Bel Air home. It's said police quickly realised the claims were false.



Neighbours also claimed nothing had happened and reports say Gordon wasn't at the property at the time. Speaking to TMZ, law enforcement sources claim it was a case of another "swatting" incident. * This is a breaking showbiz news story.
