Bridgwater Utd Women FC is pleased to announce that The Hand Stadium, will be their new home ground from next season. The 3,500 capacity stadium in Clevedon, will host all home matches for Bridgwater United Women, with an agreement in place from the commencement of the 2025/26 season. The Hand Stadium, which is set just off the M5 motorway, aligns with part of Bridgwater United Women's new Three Year Strategy, aiming to provide the very best FA Women's National League environment for players, fans and partners.
The stadium, which has recently been taken over by North Somerset Sports Foundation, has ambitious plans in terms of its development, whilst also ensuring that the facility is at the heart of the community and accessible for all. Also a home to Clevedon Town FC, who currently sit second in the men's Jewson Western Football League, The Hand Stadium already meets FA WNL ground grading, with large amounts of covered seating, a robust pitch surface, excellent player and medical areas, plus a clubhouse, catering facilities, a hospitality room and plenty of car parking. A spokesperson for Bridgwater United Women FC, said "It is so important that we have access to a home stadium which aligns to our clubs values and vision.
"Over recent seasons, the club has been unsettled in terms of a stable home ground, however, we have remained focused on our future, as a stand alone women's club.".
