Campaign for evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals continues

LAHORE - On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, campaign for the evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals is ongoing, under which more than 10,136 illegally residing individuals have been shifted to holding centres, while 560 illegally residing individuals are present at holding points.

LAHORE - On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, campaign for the evacuation of illegally residing foreign nationals is ongoing, under which more than 10,136 illegally residing individuals have been shifted to holding centres, while 560 illegally residing individuals are present at holding points. Punjab Police spokesperson said that 5 holding centres have been established in Lahore and 46 across the province. IG Punjab said that, like other countries, we are acting in accordance with international laws under the deportation policy.

The federal government and sensitive agencies are monitoring the deportation campaign of illegally residing individuals. The evacuation of all illegally residing citizens is being ensured and security is on high alert. During the evacuation process, human rights are being fully taken into consideration.



Dr Usman Anwar, while issuing instructions to CCPO Lahore, RPOs and DPOs, said that the process of evacuation of illegally residing foreign migrants should be expedited. IG Punjab further said that identification of illegally residing foreigners is being carried out through the Special Branch, CTD, security agencies, and intelligence-based information.
